Despite Senna’s competition at McLaren and Schumacher at Benetton, Alain Prost won 7 of the F1 world championship Grand Prix in 1993. He won his 4th world championship title. In addition, the second driver from the Williams Renault team, Damon Hill, won 3 Grand Prix to become world vice-champion. Williams Renault took the constructors’ title, with twice as many points as McLaren, who came in second place.
