Advertising campaigns for Renault 18 Turbo emphasised the car's performance and sportiness, with catchy slogans such as "Hot beauty"' and "Not all bombshells are red". The adverts often showed the car driving at high speed on winding roads, accompanied by lively music. Another era entirely.

THE BEST 18?
THE BEST 18?
Efficient, sporty and powerful, Renault 18 Turbo is the most sophisticated version in the Renault 18 range. Its negative offset front end not only contributes to the car's handling, but also helps to keep it on the ground, an impression reinforced by the wide alloy wheels, low-profile tyres, black rear spoiler and front spoiler.

TAMED HORSES
TAMED HORSES
Tamed for application to a mid-range vehicle, Turbo's advanced turbo technology gave Renault 18 a quiet strength combining fieriness with flexibility and composure. This rare combination of somewhat contradictory qualities made this car original and explains the driving pleasure experienced at the wheel. In sports conditions, it was on par with the top-performing models on the market.
